village of Ombersley, Worcestershire.
Ian Juckes, the Managing Director of Juckes of Worcester Ltd., joined the wine trade in 1985 on a YTS scheme (remember them!). He began his career as tea boy and forklift driver and worked his way through the ranks into sales and purchasing over the next few years. In 2003 he took the decision, with his wife, Emma, to buy a wholesale wine business now known as Juckes of Worcester Ltd. Ian continues to source wines direct from producers from around the world, to ensure exclusive and high quality wines.
Juckes of Worcester Ltd is a member of the IWBC (Independent Wine Buying Consortium) which is a Consortium of 14 Independent Wine Merchants spread throughout the UK. The IWBC jointly sources and ships high quality wines from around the world. This membership helps to maintain the exclusivity on the wines.
Ian and Emma have a small, friendly team that work very closely together to listen and understand customer’s needs and give a service that is second to none. They are always willing to go that extra mile to fulfil the customer’s requirements.
The aim of the business is to provide highly drinkable wines at prices as sharp as they get, backed up with a friendly but professional service that is second to none and that can only be offered by an Independent Wine Merchant.
